Den 22 februari kommer Dystinct till Stockholm i samband med hans “World tour’24”!
“DYSTINCT is the urban artist sensation of the moment. With ‘Ghazali’ – that seduced everyone during the last FIFA World Cup in Qatar- and ‘TekTek’, the Belgian of Moroccan origins managed to get the whole world dancing on what have now become his international hits. And that’s the least we can say, because his songs – he sings in French and Arabic for the most part, sometimes with a touch of English, Dutch or even Spanish – are listened to by all generations, young and old, all over the world.
DYSTINCT was born in Antwerp, Belgium, where he grew up with his artist dad who passed on him his love for music. His first single ‘No Ring Ring’ in 2017 was an immediate success. The artist has not stopped since then. His first album ‘Mon Voyage’ released in 2021, was certified Gold within a week. It immediately entered the charts in Belgium, Holland and Morocco. Some singles like ‘Ya lala’, ‘Boussa’ and ‘Habiba’ got also certified gold and platinum. While being on a sold out international tour, DYSTINCT announces his second studio album ‘Layali’ (‘My nights’ in Arabic) on June 2023. The album became very quickly his consecration album. In less than 3 months, the hit maker beat all the scores in France where he got his first 3 SNEP gold certifications: ‘Business ft. Naza’, ‘TekTek ft. MHD’ and ‘Ghazali ft. Bryan MG’. ‘Ghazali’ went viral beyond any expectations, even before the release of ’Layali’, hitting nearly 200M streams worldwide, all platforms combined. It went straight to number 1 on the charts in twenty countries around the world. On YouTube, the video clip has already been viewed more than 80M times. The same year, DYSTINCT is nominated at the NRJ Music Awards as ‘Ré vé lation Belge 2023’ and won the price for ‘Best Artist North Africa 2023’ at the Trace Awards.
Thanks to his catchy melodies along with the different languages in which he sings, DYSTINCT has built a very solid international fanbase that spread itself beyond the Moroccan diaspora. Most of his fans is from Central Europe -mainly in France- and North Africa. He managed to perfectly mix his Moroccan musical influences with sounds he grew up with such as urban music, Arab music, afrobeat, kizomba and pop music.”
