Stockholmsbaserade fotografen Felicia Massala har tagit över Fotografiska museets Instagramkonto. I ett inlägg skriver den 23-åriga fotografen drivkraften bakom sitt arbete som fotograf. “My heart lies in creating images which empowers females and people of color. I aim to portray us for what we are and not how society want us to look like. Portraying people of color in a space where we were not expected to be in, yet that’s where we belong the most. In a free space, where we can truly just live and be ourselves, far away from the stereotypical frame that the world puts us in.⁣”

— Hi everybody! I’m Felicia Masalla, a Swedish 23 year old photographer based in Stockholm and in the tropics of Bali. I’m so thrilled and honoured, to share my work and words with all of you this week.⁣ ⁣ My heart lies in creating images which empowers females and people of color. I aim to portray us for what we are and not how society want us to look like. Portraying people of color in a space where we were not expected to be in, yet that’s where we belong the most. In a free space, where we can truly just live and be ourselves, far away from the stereotypical frame that the world puts us in.⁣ ⁣ This week I will share with you my documentation of the Black Lives Matter demonstration taking place in Stockholm.⁣ ⁣ I hope that after this week, the world will see us in a different light, instead of a different color. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ /@feliciamasalla⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #fotografiska #fotografiskatakeover #feliciamasalla #takeover #blacklivesmatter #stockholmdemonstrations #demonstrations #georgefloyd #blm #justiceforgeorgefloyd #protest

A gently reminder to check in on your loved ones these days? A physical hug or a digital hug. Either way. It’s so important to take care of yourself and eachother these days. Absorbing so much news is so far from what our brains are built to digest. So don’t be hard on yourself for being overwhealmed. Step by step, day by day. Self care is being productive. Here comes my top 10 self care tips: 1. Digital Detox 2. Meditate. Learn about all different forms of meditation. Try a different one everyday and see what suits you. 3. Take long walks in nature. 4. Listen to a podcast. 5. Massage. Release built up tension. From a friend or fam. So much more healing then a professional in my opinion. 6. Learn a new recipe & nourish your body 7. Write. Get down all your clutter in your mind on paper, so you’ll have a better overview of whats going on 8. Take a long shower. Water is healing. 9. Date yourself. Get to know yourself. 10. Learn something new. Take a moment to educate yourself about what going on and how your voice is important. About something your passionate about. About something creative. Maybe How to sew? How to draw? There are so much fun & free sources of knowledge. Thats the bliss with our digital era. Use it❤️ ____________________________________________________________ #blacklivesmatter #blackphotographer #blackgirlmagic #blackbusiness
