It’s taken me some time to write this and formulate the first good bye or rather ‘so long’ of Kalangu, the latter being less of an infinitive bye. It’s interesting with spaces and how they change. What made Kalangu the café it was? The DIY interior design? Our ridiculous chaotic long line just to get coffee? The food? Your presence? I think that the magic created was due to Kalangu being a portal that opened at the exact right time. And of course it would had been as perfect had we opened earlier or years afterwards, because things are just perfect as they are. Mind that perfect doesn’t have to mean positive/negative but reflects more the fact that all happenings are correlated to each other, mechanically and spirituality everything is perfect. So I try my best but also accept the flow of universe. And paradoxically I’m happy universe forced me to close down Kalangu. Knowing myself I would have continued until I got burnt out. Now I have time to take a step back, introspect, learn from the journey so far and come back more structured, healthier and with a stronger team. So does something cease to exist if it no longer has a space? I think not. Kalangu will continue having events, popping up here and there. And now with a team of incredible souls I’m positive that next chapter will be even more beautiful. Lastly, thank you everyone who visited Kalangu, helped out, donated or just thought of us. Hopefully see you again when we start our next chapter. And please, any leads on a place somewhere in central Sthlm (also without kitchen) would be helpful. Take care and eat lots of sambusas meanwhile <3 #love
